Chrestes as Oracle
Chrestes as Oracle
Here's an analysis of one of the more esoteric aspects of the mythicist position. While the discussion of "Chrestos" and "Chrestes," etc., represents a more scholarly element, it is an important one. If we understand that before there was a "Christ" there were many Chrests, including as priests and oracles engaged in religion - and by which title Jesus too was called - we have a clearer picture of the atmosphere in which Christianity was founded.

Is Suetonius's Chresto a Reference to Jesus?
Is Suetonius's Chresto a Reference to Jesus?
Hot off the presses! Here is a MAJOR piece of the Christ-myth puzzle. I have taken a lengthy article and broken it down into different essays, with numerous links both to these other articles and to references, citations and annotated footnotes. You will see the other new articles in this "Chrestos" series in the "Related articles" and "Further Reading" sections. This "Chrestos" research ties together many loose ends in study of Christian origins. Enjoy!

Ad Homs, Misogyny and Professional Jealousy?
Here we go again! Some people have nothing better to do than to frantically prevent others from reading my work, using whatever desperate measures they can glom onto.

God in the Box at the Carmel Art & Film Festival
God in the Box at the Carmel Art & Film Festival
"God in the Box" is a terrific film that I think will help enlighten the world and increase peace by providing an open dialogue regarding religion, mythology and atheism. If we can all accept that numerous, often disparate ideas exist within the human experience, strife and division can only be decreased.
As a participant in this documentary, I am delighted to see that it is getting the recognition it deserves. Thank you, Carmel Art & Film Festival and Clint Eastwood!

Who was Mary Magdalene? | Sacred Harlot
Who was Mary Magdalene? | Sacred Harlot
Since the "Jesus's wife" papyrus is all the rage right now, I am currently writing an article about it. In the meantime, here is one about Mary Magdalene, believed for centuries to have been that very "wife." Feel free to like and share. :)
