Proving someone similar to Christ existed before Christ does not prove anything.
If it proves someone similar existed prior to Christ, then it proves THAT.
And what that proves is very important, because it shows a MYTHICAL precedent that Christianity was patently built upon.
Yes, the Antikythera mechanism - about which I've known for at least 30 years - is quite amazing. So what's the point? The Pyramids are amazing as well, and they were built long before Christ.
