"ZEITGEIST, Part 1" Revisited

The great news is that we are anxiously awaiting the publication of Christ in Egypt: The Horus-Jesus Connection, which essentially proves the various contentions regarding the Egyptian god Horus as found in the official version of the hit internet movie "ZEITGEIST!"

In the meantime, I thought I'd direct your attention to a few videos created by a young fellow that likewise demonstrate a couple of the Horus-Jesus parallels. While the net is inundated by poorly researched "debunking" videos full of straw men and misstatements, these defender vids are part of a relative handful.

I was especially impressed by the Egyptologist (who sounds like Zahi Hawass) in the third video pointing out the phrase "Aset Meri," or Isis Mery, on an Egyptian monument.

One clarification on the statements from the second video below: In the Alexandrian calendar - used to this day by the Egyptian Christians called "Copts" - the month of Khoiak/Choiach is indeed December. Also, if this fellow had read my "Companion Guide to ZEITGEIST, Part 1," he would have known that we have ancient testimony from the writer Plutarch that, in the ancient mythology, Horus was born at the winter solstice. But our evidence doesn't end there, as you will see from Christ in Egypt.

If you would like a sneak-peak of Christ in Egypt, please do get a copy of my "Companion Guide to ZEITGEIST, Part 1." I think you will enjoy it!

Here's what one person just recently had to say about the Companion Guide:

"Your work in the Zeitgeist companion was phenomenal. . . Thank you for taking the time to explore truth. . ."

LOL, I can't help but laugh out loud - those 3 videos really make all those Anti-ZG part 1 & Anti-Acharya CULT folks look silly.

And, I think the guy is really funny. I hope he continues to make more videos like this. I'm sure Jesus supports it! I mean, he would be for the truth, RIGHT?

Excellent responses. But what a coincidence. I was working on these very questions this afternoon. A bit too long to post here, but they may be read in this thread - http://wheresjesus.multiply.com/links/item/5?mark_read=wheresjesus:links:5&replies_read=10

How do I find parts 4 to 7 ?

Just another side to the triangle, exact same message just different belief system/dictator. Think for YOURSELF! It all comes down to "I AM". End of story.

I feel almost embarrassed to bring this up, but here it is:
eSkeptic article on Zeitgeist.

Yes, you're right - that article is an embarrassment, because it reveals that the writer is not an expert and has merely skimmed the surface using sanitized and approved mainstream resources and encyclopedias.

While criticizing a short film on the subject for not being "deep" enough, he himself did not dig very deeply at all.

Very embarrassing for Skeptic magazine!

Wowzers, Tim Callahan really "Garbled" that up - I feel embarrassed for Skeptic magazine.

Callahan probably should've gone to the source - he would've found Peter Josephs explanation of how Zeitgeist was formed:

"Zeitgeist came into existence as a personal project which was shown in New York as a free public awareness expression. After the event was over, "The Movie" was tossed online with little thought given to a public response. Within a month, the film was getting record views. Months later, the "Final Edition" was completed. In total, the views for "Zeitgeist, The Movie" have exceeded 50,000,000 on Google video alone. Considering the other posts in different formats, along with public screenings, it is estimated that the total world views are well over 100 Million."
http://www.zeitgeistmovie.com/q&a.htm

It was never intended to be a scholarly documentary. but it is a testament to the level of interest in these topics. Very few have ever heard of "astrotheology" I find it a fascinating subject & apparently many others do too.

Callahan argues "Joseph’s confusion continues when he tries to tie Isis into the Annunciation narrative of Luke."

Then Callahan says "This is probably the source of Luke’s Nativity"

Then turns around and claims "So there probably is an Egyptian origin to the Lucan Nativity, but it has nothing to do with Isis, Osiris or Horus."

It sounds like Callahan has much to learn. He needs to read "Who Was Jesus? Fingerprints of The Christ" as well as "Christ in Egypt: The Horus-Jesus Connection"

As a subscriber to Skeptic Magazine, I'd love to see Acharya submit a point-by-point rebuttal of the misinformation in Callahan's article. I'm 99% sure they'd run it...pretty please?

Well, ask and ye shall receive!

Skeptic Mangles ZEITGEIST (and Religious History)

I'm not sure they will run this rebuttal, but do be sure to encourage them!
