How the U.S. should deal with the Muslim Brotherhood

How the U.S. should deal with the Muslim Brotherhood

The Muslim Brotherhood does not seem to be as violent as al-Qaeda. However, it is hard to completely separate them from the phenomenon of Radical Islam. The word they use for their slogan is 'Wa-aidou' which is Arabic for 'prepare.' This is taken from verse 8:60 of the Quran which states, 'Prepare (Wa-aidou) against them (the Un-believers) to the utmost of your power, including steeds of war, to strike terror into (the hearts of) the enemies of Allah and your enemies, and others besides, whom ye may not know, but whom Allah doth know.' Therefore, the use of 'Wa-aidou' underneath the two swords in the MB flag indicates this is much more complex word than many can imagine.

Rebuttal to Dr. Chris Forbes concerning 'Zeitgeist, Part 1'

Rebuttal to Dr. Chris Forbes concerning 'Zeitgeist, Part 1'

Forbes is not an Egyptologist, classicist or mythologist, and his comments show a lack of knowledge in the relevant fields addressed in ZG1.1. In fact, Forbes makes several mistakes, and his remarks seem to be more reflective of his role as a devout Christian upholder of the faith, which from his credentials and curriculum vitae he clearly is. In the following article, I address Forbes's remarks point by point...

One with all things?

One with all things?

Most of us, thankfully, possess more benevolence than malice, but that development is really the end product of empathy, which does indeed reveal our essential oneness. The lack of empathy also defines human psychopathy, unfortunately. Our quest, then, should be to become increasingly more empathetic towards each other and other sentient beings. In this quest, we must critique and reform ideologies that cause division, including and especially organized, monotheistic and intolerant religions.

FBI's surprising 'flying saucer' document

FBI's surprising 'flying saucer' document

An investigator for the Air Forces stated that three so-called flying saucers had been recovered in New Mexico. They were described as being circular in shape with raised centers, approximately 50 feet in diameter. Each one was occupied by three bodies of human shape but only 3 feet tall, dressed in metallic cloth of a very fine texture. Each body was bandaged in a manner similar to the blackout suits used by speed flyers and test pilots.

Modern slave trade rampant globally

Modern slave trade rampant globally

Some time ago, my attention was redirected to this heinous situation by an acquaintance who spent a couple of years with the Peace Corps in Mongolia, where human trafficking - especially of girls - is rampant. John told me some truly horrendous stories that no one wants to hear.

Dionysus: Born of a Virgin on December 25th, Killed and Resurrected after Three Days

The Greek god Dionysus has been depicted as having been born of a virgin mother on December 25th; performing miracles such as changing water into wine; being surrounded by or one of 12 figures; bearing epithets such as "Only Begotten Son" and "Savior"; dying; resurrecting after three days and ascending into heavens.

Was Muslims' Violent Reaction to Burning the Quran Preventable?

The latest post by Muslim reformer and FTN contributing writer Dr. Tawfik Hamid, who provides solutions to this serious problem.

Was Muslims' Violent Reaction to Burning the Quran Preventable?

Winning the war against Radical Islam cannot only occur at the military front. Furthermore, it is practically impossible to stop criticism of Islam. The prevention of future--and probably more devastating--atrocities by violent Muslims requires the proper use of ideological, educational and psychological tactics.

Muslim killings prove Jones's point

Muslim killings prove Jones's point

Here's the obvious: Jones burned the Koran, he says, because it inspires violence against non-Muslims. Muslim fanatics turned around and proved his point by committing koranically inspired violence against non-Muslims.

Scholar: Lead codices are probably fake

Scholar: Lead codices are probably fake

I've been asked repeatedly about this big news concerning some 70 lead books purportedly found in Jordan that may have some bearing on early Christian history.

Attis: Born of a Virgin, Crucified and Resurrected after Three Days

Attis: Born of a Virgin, Crucified and Resurrected after Three Days

In many mythicist writings, the ancient Phrygo-Roman god Attis is depicted as having been born of a virgin mother on December 25th, being killed and resurrecting afterwards. Here we shall examine the evidence for these contentions, which parallel the gospel story and Christian tradition concerning Jesus Christ.

Archaeologist: American churches astronomically aligned

Archaeologist: American churches astronomically aligned

In this news item appear yet more examples of this age-old tradition, as found within Christianity in particular. The fact that winter-solstice alignments, for instance, are discovered at Christian sites reflects that their architects and builders were well aware of the significance of that date, originally the "birth" of the year's new sun but observed for over 1,700 years as "Christmas" or the purported birth of Jesus Christ. It is clear that in marking this date and celebrating this holiday, Christians were merely latching onto a very ancient, astrotheological practice shared by numerous cultures worldwide.
